Tests....

This is turning out to be a tiring week. I have a couple of classes where my grade is based solely on a couple of tests, and two of the tests are this week!! I just spent yesterday (six hours straight) studying (followed by three hours of lab research.....) and today I got up at six and studied until 2, when I took the test! Microbiology requires a lot of memorization of critters names and specific metabolic details of each.... Did well on the test though, stayed while she graded it.

Tomorrow I will be studying for the next test from 8am until about 3 (then break for two hours of physics lab), and then again from 5 until 8 (then quick lab time to stop chemistry research experiment and safely store products!). On Thursday I will study again from 8 until I take it at 5. Biochemistry is a little more difficult than micro because you have to understand complicated interactions of several different cycles, processes, and several types regulation so that you can answer questions asking about the effects of different stimuli on each aspect! The level of detail they expect us to understand is a little nuts!! Oh well, I will say that it really helps you remember the general ideas WELL; when you have memorized all the details, they seem easy!

Looking forward to this weekend when I am going to Spokane to visit Matt and to go to a birthday party of a co-workers of his (his good friend John). We might even look at a couple of houses. The market is finally beginning to pick up and we are excited to find the perfect place. Will be looking earnestly beginning in April.

Next week is spring break at one school, and the week before finals at the other...so I don't really get a spring break!! At least I will have time to study for my physics final...not my favorite class, I must say. It is finally beginning to click, however. I am excited for the daylight saving change too. I will be able to come home in the DAYLIGHT and take my puppy on a walk, or ride my bike. It is starting to feel like spring here (on and off...we did get snow flurries two days ago...) and when it really starts to get warm, it happens quickly!

We are starting to think about packing everything up. I think we are going to have the garage sale of the century. We are planning to clean out certain areas of the house on each of the upcoming weekends, and then pack them and put them in storage here (already have a full unit!). We will then slowly ferry them up to Spokane in our regular commutes and put them in a storage unit there. I imagine our garage sale box will have to be replaced by a garage sale dumpster!! The biggest nightmares are going to be the filing cabinets (need a SERIOUS purge) and the craft supplies. I will be buying bins. Many bins. Labeling tape too. I hope our new house has a garage.....a BIG garage...

Anyway! Critters are all well, and we are still doing ok with the separation/commuting arrangements. Can't wait to live in the same house though!
