Mills Family Reunion Bonfire

The morning of the bonfire dawned wet and misty. We were all a little concerned that we would have to move the bonfire indoors, in fact, we made a sign redirecting everyone to Grams house in case of inclement weather. However, at about three in the afternoon, the sun came out, and the wind died down! I had accidentally marked the bonfire as beginning at 5pm in the mailed notice, so Matt and I scurried down there and moved logs, dug a fire pit, and set up a little awning tent. People started arriving around six, and Terry showed up with $100 dollars worth of crab!!! He had boiled it in sea water with rice vinegar and pickling spices and it was divine.

Unfortunately, because we started at 5pm, we decided to head out just after 9pm, and three loads of family from out of town arrived just after we had left. We did discuss it at the reunion, and decided to move the bonfire to reunion night next reunion.

LOVE THE PICTURES. It's great to see all the family. Also got caught up on all your recent posts. Loved all the great pictures and I have to say, I get a lot of my pictures from my Mom's camera! Good luck with the job hunting and I think you should be a little more flexiable and look out here. Lake Michagin is like the ocean. I know you don't believe that, but it's so huge you can't see anything but water AND it has waves, just like the beach. The kids love to body surf in them. So ya know....you could look out here......I'm just saying....

I really wish i could have been there!!! Mom put some really good pictures of you on her blog! Like the one at stephanie's wedding- I LOVED the shirt you were wearing AND you got new glasses! You look really good and like you have lost a ton of weight! I am working out but seem to be loosing nothing so it is very frustrating.
